Anti-Tobacco Advocacy Initiative
The Tennessee Statewide Tobacco Advocacy Initiative facilitates tobacco use prevention and control advocacy among communities and coalitions to further the efforts to reduce tobacco use and its harmful effects on the citizens of Tennessee. This project is funded by the Tennessee Department of Health.

Anti-Tobacco Advocacy Project Support: The Tennessee Tobacco Advocacy Initiative provided support for community and youth
tobacco advocacy projects in 2012 in each of the three grand divisions of Tennessee.
Supplies were provided (up to the maximum amount) for two community projects and two
youth projects in each of the three regions: West Tennessee, Middle Tennessee, and
East Tennessee. Plans for 2013 project support mini-grants will be announced at our
World Health Organization (WHO) Bulletin July 13: Smoking Related Deaths Averted Due to 3 Years of Policy Progress
