The Department of Art's Visual Resource Center is a teaching resource designed to meet the needs of Art faculty and their students.
The Art Raiders Digital Image Database has over 10,000 digital images available for teaching and study.
Visual Resource Center (VRC) Information
Location: Todd Building Room 212
The following equipment is available to the Department of Art:
FOR ART STUDENTS TO CHECKOUT: All equipment must be returned within five working days.
FOR ART STUDENTS TO USE AT THE CENTER: Students may reserve the photo room to use the copystand with digital or film camera Monday thru Friday. Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance. Please contact the VRC to make a reservation. If you want to use the digital camera, you will need to bring a CD-R or flashdrive to save your images.
FOR ART FACULTY TO CHECK OUT: All equipment must be returned within five working days except the digital camera must be returned within 24 hours.
FOR ART FACULTY TO USE AT THE CENTER: Art faculty may reserve the photo room to use the copystand with digital or film camera, the flat bed scanner, or the Nikon cool Scan Slide scanner, Monday thru Friday. Reservation must be made 24 hours in advance. Please contact the VRC to make a reservation. You will need to bring a CD-R or flashdrive to save your images.
ROOM RESERVATIONS: Art faculty may reserve the VRC room. Please contact the VRC for reservations, preferably a week in advance.
OTHER FACULTY MEMBERS: The Audio/Visual Services, Equipment Section of the Instructional Technology Support Center has equipment including slide projectors, overhead projectors, TV/VCR combination, and digital cameras for you to check out. Please contact them at 898-2711. The Faculty Instructional Technology Center has equipment for faculty to use including flatbed scanner, slide scanner and a digital camera, to make and process digital images. Please contact them at 904-8189.
