Hubert L. McCullough, Jr.

Hubert McCullough received a B.S. in Mathematics from Middle Tennessee State University in 1951. Following graduation, he worked in utility construction from 1952 to 1971. He established McCullough Associates, an environmental engineering and heavy equipment firm operating in 30 states. In 1981, McCullough Associates was sold to an international engineering firm.

Mr. McCullough continued with McCullough Industries until he sold that firm in 1997 and retired to his farm to raise beef cattle.

In 1982 he became Commissioner of Finance and Administration in Governor Lamar Alexander's administration. Mr. McCullough served nine years on the Tennessee Board of Regents, MTSU's governing board.

Mr. McCullough served as Chairman of the New Century/New Vision MTSU Foundation Campaign which raised more than $30 million. He and his wife Dene have endowed three scholarships. He is a member of the President's Advisory Council. Mr. McCullough is Chairman of the State Board of Education.
