Participate in this fitness program and the many activities Campus Recreations offers to become fit, stay fit, and develop a healthy lifestyle


  • 1 session with a coach/trainer
  • Fitness Assessment (body composition, strength test, cardio test, and flexibility test)
  • Weight Room orientation
  • Cardio Room orientation
  • Aerobics punch pass good for 30 classes or an additional personal training session
  • All additional sessions $20 each

We will work with you to design a program that will address your specific needs.

Cost: $50 MTSU students/$60 Faculty, Staff, and Recreation Members

  • Beginning and Ending Fitness Assessment
    (Includes Body Fat Analysis, Weigh & Measure, Upper & Lower Body Strength Test, and Cardio Test.)
  • Weekly Training with a Personal Trainer
    You must cancel a session 24 hours in advance to be eligible to reschedule or make-up the session.
  • Group Fitness Punch Pass for 30 Classes.
  • Additional Sessions for $20 each

Boot Camp

Session A: Sept. 2 - Oct. 10

Session B: Oct. 20 - Nov. 25

Cost: $35/one class per day; $55/two classes per day; $75/three classes per day

Monday - Friday        Class Times: 6:15 a.m. - 7:00 a.m.        12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m.        4:45 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Where: Downstairs and Upstairs Aerobics Rooms

* Monday - Friday Class Workouts
* Option to attend either class time

Couch-to-5K has been designed by professional personal trainers and experienced runners in order to train any individual the skills needed to have the ability to successfully complete a 5K race. Using progressive interval training and specific endurance drills, we are confident that after this program you will be ready to accomplish a goal many people fear to attempt.

Begins Monday, Sept. 15 and continues every Monday through Oct. 20

Time: 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Sunny: MTSU Sports Complex - 2111 E Main St., Murfreesboro, TN 37130                                                                               Rainy: Campus Recreation Center Upstairs Track

Price: Couch-to-5K without race registration: $30        Couch-to-5K with race registration: $15


One-on-One Yoga Sessions & Personal Training Sessions

Have you ever wanted to try Yoga, but aren't ready to attend a class? Do you have specific needs that can't always be addressed in a yoga class? One-on-One Yoga Sessions may be for you. We also offer Personal Training for those who want individualized training for specific needs.

1 Session: $40
3 Sessions: $100
5 Sessions: $175

*Can be selected in place of training sessions in the Wellness Program

Other Programs

Orientations for the weight room and cardio equipment are free. Sign up in the weight room. 

Fitness testing is ideal for those who want to set specific goals or who just want to know their fitness levels. 

Fitness counseling is for anyone who needs assistance setting up an exercise or wellness program. 

Nutritional Coaching is for those who wish to develop an enjoyable, sustainable personal eating plan suited for your lifestyle. Availability is limited.
