Thank you for your interest in the many summer camps, seminars, and learning experiences offered by Middle Tennessee State University. For over five decades, MTSU has provided summer activities for young children, teens, and adults alike.
The 2024 summer experiences are listed below. Listings include the camp organizers and contact info, a short description of each experience, dates, costs, and registration deadlines. Please contact the camp organizer if you have questions or wish to register.

Inclusive College Experience Tom Black | Jul 15 – Jul 19, 2024 Deadline: 7/8/24 or until camps fills | 9 am to 3 pm | $150 | The MTSU College of Education is offering a one-week summer day camp for students and young adults with intellectual disabilities ages 16-25. Attendees will participate in a variety of educational and recreational activities on the MTSU campus. Program staff and volunteers will provide supervision and support for participants as they attend classes, workshops, games and activities led by MTSU faculty and students. Each day will also include activities at University’s Rec Center. Participants will dine each day in the Student Union or other campus dining facilities. Scholars Academy Freshman Summer Institute 615-898-5975 | TBD | 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. | $75 | The Scholars Academy is a two-week early arrival program for incoming first-time freshmen prior to the first day of school in August. Students must participate for the duration of the Institute, attend all Institute events, as well as register for the Scholars Academy sections of UNIV 1010 for the Fall 2023 semester. Study skills workshops, team-building exercises, leadership training, the summer reading program, and service-learning projects are integral aspects of the Scholars Academy. They are dedicated to the furtherance of the Southern Gospel music genre and passionate about providing singers and musicians with the highest-quality training possible.All students who attend the school pay the tuition fee, which includes class work, books, and supplies. In addition to the tuition fee, students pay an application fee when registering. This application fee is the only non-refundable cost. Scholarships are available to students with a financial need.
