Elizabeth Lamb, CPS
The Executive Aide for the college provides secretarial and clerical support to the dean of the College of Basic and Applied Sciences and to the directors of the following graduate programs: M.S. in Professional Science, Ph.D. in Computational Science, Ph.D. in Mathematics and Science Education and Ph.D. in Molecular Biosciences. She is responsible for assisting with the coordination and planning of special events and projects in the college including the MSPS internship presentations, the MSPS and PhD budgets, monitoring the MSPS and PhD web page s, assisting students with application and registration processes, ordering for the programs and maintaining student files. Ms. Lamb began working at Middle Tennessee State University in 2007. She received her B.S. in Mass Communications in 1994 from MTSU with a concentration in Advertising and minors in Art and Psychology. While in college, she performed with the MTSU Band of Blue for four seasons, was an officer in the Ad Club and completed an internship with Tennessee Performing Arts Center. Professionally, Ms. Lamb has worked on proposal teams for various defense contractors and performed communications support at the University of the South in Sewanee. Before coming to CBAS, she served as secretary in the Department of Engineering Technology, during which time she earned her Certified Professional Secretary rating and was recognized as "Making a Difference in the Lives of Students."; PERSONAL INFORMATION
Ms. Lamb is married to John Lamb, who received his B.S. and M.S. from MTSU and works as a Conservation Biologist at Arnold Engineering Development Center. They have one daughter, Olivia Marie Lamb. In her spare time, Ms. Lamb enjoys sewing, readi ng, playing piano, and baking with her daughter.
