Director, School of Nursing
The Middle Tennessee State University is seeking an innovative leader to direct programs
in the School of Nursing. The SON has a traditional BSN program, an RN to BSN program,
an online MSN program that is part of a state wide consortium and a MSPS interdisciplinary
program in Healthcare Informatics. Applicants must qualify at the rank of full professor,
be highly skilled at faculty development, have excellent communication and interpersonal
skills and a track record of scholarly activity. The successful candidate must hold
a master's degree in nursing and have an earned doctorate in nursing or related field.
Prior experience in academic administration and extramural funding is preferred.
Tenure upon appointment possible.

Department Chair, Human Sciences
Department Chair. Tenure upon appointment possible. Must be eligible for appointment at the associate or full professor level. Terminal degree in academic discipline or related field with at least one graduate degree from a Human Sciences/Family and Consumer Sciences program area or related field required. Evidence of successful university teaching, public service and research and/or creative endeavors, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, involvement in professional association(s), skills in developing community partners and experiential learning opportunities, successful grantsmanship, and advocate for the resources needed to sustain the Department's mission and vision. Demonstrated competence in administering the academic programs of the department, directing faculty and staff, providing leadership in the curriculum planning and evaluation at the undergraduate and graduate levels, budget management, and the accreditation process of one of the following : AAFCS, CIDA, ACEND, or Certified Family Life Education.

Criminal Justice Administration
(Position # 103500). Temporary, full-time (non-tenure track) faculty teaching position. Ph.D. in Criminal Justice. ABD considered if Ph.D. is near completion. Official transcripts (not issued to student) of all college degrees and three letters of recommendation, specific to the position, will be required if you are selected for an on-campus interview.
Position begins August 1, 2013.
Human Sciences
MTSU, College of Behavioral and Health Sciences, Department of Human Sciences, Textiles, Merchandising and Design, full time tenure track, at the assistant/associate professor rank, Teaching undergraduate courses in apparel selection and evaluation, CAD, fashion illustration and rendering, textiles, textile testing and other retail and merchandising related courses; must possess effective communication skills; and ability to establish effective working relationships and contribute to team endeavors, particularly within the program and department. The successful candidate is expected to possess knowledge of principles, methods, and current developments in textiles, merchandising and design; knowledge of subject matter and course content for teaching; knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques for teaching lecture/lab and studio based courses; skilled in the use of computers, Internet resources, MS Office software, Computer Aided Apparel Design, Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Adobe Illustrator CS5 (current versions); ability to instruct, manage, motivate, and evaluate students in field of study, ability to integrate technology into the teaching and learning process; ability to successfully interact professionally with students, other educators, educational institution representatives, and the general public; ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, and ability and willingness to learn all software specific to Middle Tennessee State University that is required to perform duties.
Position Starts August 1, 2013.
Work experience in the fashion/textile industry and previous college-level teaching preferred.
