2016 Chinese Cultural Summer Camp for American High School Students

Mission

To enhance mutual understanding between American and Chinese youth, to assist American high school students better understand Chinese language and culture, to build friendships between people of China and America.

Schedule

July 5 Depart to Beijing from the U. S.
July 17 Return to the US from Shanghai

  • Chinese Language & Culture Courses
  • Culture excursions
  • School visits

 

Logistics and Management

  • Bilingual coordinators will be in charge of the whole program.
  • Accommodation at International student dormitories with double occupancy for students.
  • Each room is equipped with air conditioner and internet access.
  • Laundry facility is available at the dormitory.
  • Meals and local transportation are provided.
  • First‐aid service and clinics on campus. Hospitals accessible.

 

Costs

  • The estimated cost of this trip is estimated at $2200/person, which covers international airfares, visa fee, pre-departure orientation, and processing fee.
  • All in-China cost for accommodation and transportation is provided by the Confucius Institute.
  • The Confucius Institute will assist airline ticket booking and conduct pre-departure orientation.

  • Teacher's recommendation letter (for students)
  • Application Fee of $150 (refundable if not accepted )

  • Endorsement letter from school principal

 

Deadlines

All application materials must to be submitted to CIMTSU by Friday, March 25, 2016. The number of participants is limited. Early applications are given approval priority.
