Kimmy is a graduate student at Middle Tennessee State University and plans to receive her Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology in 2014. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The University of Memphis in Memphis, TN in 2012.
Kimmy has numerous research experience as well as applied experience within the I/O Psychology field. She completed a senior thesis that focused on training and job analysis in home visitation programs, where she presented her findings at the 2011 Student Research Forum AT The University of Memphis. Kimmy was also involved in many student-led organizations and held various leadership positions throughout her undergraduate career. She was Executive Director of an extended orientation program for incoming freshman that involved working with 55 staff members, 600 freshmen, and a $150,000 budget. She was also Executive Director of a philanthropic organization called Up ‘til Dawn, which spreads awareness and fundraises for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She worked with approximately 50 staff members each year to host fundraising and awareness events throughout the school year, which led to raising approximately $400,000 throughout her tenure at the University.
Kimmy enjoys applying her past research and leadership experiences toward her graduate education and work experience within COHRE. Her current interests are training and development, leadership/management training, organizational change and development, team building, diversity issues, and motivation.
