Biography

Dr. Mohebbi received her doctoral degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 2017. As a part of her PhD research, she collaborated with a group of power plant companies to evaluate the long-term leaching behavior of fly ash deposits in mine lands. She also holds a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from University of Tehran, and an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology. Dr. Mohebbi received her doctoral degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 2017. As a part of her PhD research, she collaborated with a group of power plant companies to evaluate the long-term leaching behavior of fly ash deposits in mine lands. She also holds a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from University of Tehran, and an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology. Her research deals with beneficial uses for industrial byproducts, evaluating their environmental impacts on soil and water resources, developing geochemical models to predict the long-term conditions, and designing the sustainable remediation techniques.
