Aside from being a Certified Athletic Trainer, Dr. Harris is a Licensed Massage Therapist.  She enjoys applying her passion for soft tissue mobilization to the classroom, and integrating both eastern and western medical practices into a holistic approach.  She is an internationally certified aromatherapist and certified prenatal massage therapist. Additionally, Sadie has been trained to work with the special needs population in a variety of settings, as a swim instructor, athletic trainer, hippotherapy coach, and adaptive rock climbing instructor.  She greatly enjoys working in this setting, and finding ways to make sports available to everyone.    

Currently, Dr. Harris is a Program Manager, for Evaulation and Assessment and curriculum mapping at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.

Biography

Sadie loves spending time with her husband Chris, their daughters Gracie and Hazel, and two rescue dogs, Nelhybel and Troy.  Chris and Sadie met while they were both students in the MTSU athletic training program, so she has a special place in her heart for this major!  In their free time, they love hiking with the dogs, climbing mountains in Colorado, traveling, and laughing at all the adorable things the girls do throughout the day.

Sadie is active in the local greyhound rescue group Music City Greyhound Adoption (http://www.musiccitygreyhoundadoption.org/home.html), and enjoys fostering and rescuing retired racers.  She’s loved having such a great turnout from the students within the ATEP for the annual Christmas Parade to help walk/wrangle greyhounds, and promote adoption!      She also enjoys volunteering with her family at Habitat for Humanity, volunteering as an adaptive  rock climbing...
