A & ITS Department Head


Barbara Draude is the Department Head of Academic and Instructional Technology Services at Middle Tennessee State University, having assumed that position in June, 2000. In this role, she manages campus resources for faculty to integrate technology into their teaching and scholarly activities including the ITD instructional technology, web applications, academic programming and statistical consulting teams. She also acts as Co-Director of the university's Learning, Teaching and Innovative Technologies Center, providing professional development opportunities for faculty across campus. A faculty member in the School of Nursing and a certified online instructor, she teaches online and mentors faculty in designing and teaching with technology.

Barbara hold a Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing from the Pennsylvania State University and a Master's of Science degree in Nursing Education from the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University.
