Student Judicial Board Applications
The Student Judicial Board functions as part of the judicial branch of the Student Government Association. The board is primarily responsible for hearing discipline cases involving MTSU students; however, the board also has the responsibility of hearing SGA constitutional challenges and interpretations. As a member of the SJB, you will have the opportunity to enhance your critical thinking and communication skills as well as provide leadership and guidance to other students. Any student can be a member of the SJB as long as they meet the following requirements:
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student at MTSU
- Cumulative GPA of not less than 2.5, which will be maintained throughout the duration of a student's participation.
- Be in "Good Standing" with the University, i.e. members are not permitted to be on academic or disciplinary probation
- A minimum of 12 credit hours completed at MTSU
Students interested in pursuing careers in law, politics, sociology, and psychology are encouraged to apply. The typical time commitment involved is a weekly meeting/hearing of approximately one - two hours in length.
