Middle Tennessee State University presents its most prestigious awards at the appropriate college awards program. This university-wide awards program pays tribute to four undergraduate students honored for exemplary character and achievements in scholarship, leadership, and service. All members of the MTSU community are encouraged to nominate individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence and meet the awards criteria. Nominations and applications are accepted each year in February. To nominate a student, submit the student's name and contact information to the Center for Student Involvement & Leadership by calling 898-5812 or emailing Jackie.Victory@mtsu.edu . The Director of Student Organizations & Service will congratulate and inform the student of the nomination in order to begin the application process. Award recipients are selected by the University Awards Committee through an application and interview process.
The President's Award is the most prestigious award given to a student of Middle Tennessee State University. The student who wins this award must exemplify superior character and honor and have made achievements that, ideally, all students should strive to meet.
The Provost's Award is given to a student who best demonstrates outstanding academic achievement through involvement in scholarly activities.
Robert C. LaLance Jr. Achievement Award
The Achievement Award honors a student who has shown remarkable determination, has had to make sacrifices, and is contributing to the community during work toward a degree.
Community Service Award
The Community Service Award is given to a student who has made an outstanding contribution to the community.

Who's Who Among Students
in American Universities and Colleges
Who's Who Among Students in Universities and Colleges honors our nation's leading college students and exists as one of the most highly regarded and long-standing honors programs in the nation. For over 70 years, the Who's Who program has honored outstanding campus leaders for their scholastic and community achievements. Each year, MTSU selects up to 150 students to join the prestigious Who's Who community.
To nominate a student for this award, complete an application and mail it to the Office of Student Organizations & Service, MTSU Box 39, or take it to their office in Student Union 330. Applications must be typed and are due Friday, November 8, 2013 by 4:30 PM.
A university committee comprised of faculty and students evaluate the applications and the top candidates are selected for Who's Who.
