What is the Faculty Fair?
A "one-stop-shop" for helping faculty learn about all of the faculty services MTSU provides. This is a very casual "meet and greet" type of event. Faculty members are encouraged to drop by as their schedules permit and stay as long as they like.
The Faculty Fair also serves as a celebration and recognition of faculty members who
have distinguished themselves by developing innovative teaching practices and integrating
technology in their courses and to encourage cross-departmental networking and collaboration.
Nominees for the Teaching, Learning and Technology Roundtable Award (TLTR) will be recognized and the winner for the TLTR Award for Innovative Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Technology will be announced. The award funds registration and travel expenses to attend the International Conference on College Teaching and Learning held at the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa in Florida.
Representatives from the following offices are typically present:
Faculty Instructional Technology Center; University Fellowship Office; TBR E-Mobilization Initiative; Online Course Development; Faculty Grants; Faculty Learning Communities; Academic Advising Services; Student Support Services; Disabled Student Services; June Anderson Center for Women and Non-Traditional Students; University Police Sponsored Programs; EXL and Service Learning; Education Abroad; Student Career Development Services; Walker Library
The 2013 Award for Innovative Excellence in Teaching, Learning and Technology, sponsored this year by the University Deans, went to Ronda Henderson (Business Communication Entrepreneurship). Congratulations!
