Everett BattenWhy are you running for a position within the Student Government Association?

I am running for SGA Executive Vice President because I have an ardent devotion towards leadership and service that prompts my will to work with my fellow students to make a difference. As a student at Middle Tennessee State University, I would cherish the opportunity to serve our True Blue community. If elected to presidency, I would hope to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to enhance the MTSU experience. Leadership is my passion, and I feel as if my open mind will enable me to work effectively with others to make vital decision in regards to the university. I love MTSU, and I'm ready to work to make it better place. I am True Blue!

If you were elected to the SGA, what would you do to improve the quality of student life at MTSU?

If elected, I would open my office to all of my Blue Raider family. It is essential that every student's voice is heard. I would take into consideration the ideas of the student body; being that they we serve them, we must cater to their needs. I would frequently talk to students to see exactly what SGA can do to improve the quality of our university, so that their voices will be heard amongst faculty and the administration. Throughout the duration of my term, I would devote an exponential amount of time, energy, and patience to my fellow students.
