Evening School

MTSU offers several degrees in the evening for students who cannot access the campus during the day. Evening classes begin after 4:30 p.m. Evening courses and follow the regular academic calendar and tuition and fees schedule. University admissions procedures must be followed before registering for these and other distance learning courses. An admissions application (undergraduate or graduate) may be completed online and, upon admittance to the university, students may register for courses online via Pipeline.

 

Evening Services

Evening services for students enrolled in evening classes are provided by the MT One Stop include distribution of parking permits and student IDs.

Parking Permits – Only green student parking permits may be obtained after hours at the MT One Stop once all registration fees have been paid. Students should remember to bring photo identification and license plate number when obtaining a parking permit. New parking permits are issued for the academic year at the beginning of each fall semester. Students attending only in the summer semester must pay a parking fee to receive a parking pass for summer semester. Special student and faculty/staff passes are available through the main Parking and Transportation Services Office located on Main Street.

If an evening student losses a parking permit, he or she may complete a Parking Permit Loss Report and pay a $25 replacement fee at the Parking Services Office.

MTSU Blue ID Card - A personal MTSU ID card is required to check out books at the library, for admission to the Campus Recreation Center and campus computer labs. ID cards are made in the main ID office, located in James Union Building room 306, typically open 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. ID cards may also be made by the MT One Stop, located in the Student Union Building, during the hours listed below.

Your first ID is free. There is a ten dollar charge for the replacement of lost cards which can be paid by cash or check.

 

Extended Office Hours

If you require assistance during normal University hours (M – F, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) please go to the specific offices.

  • Parking Services – Located at 1403 East Main Street
  • ID Office – Located in the James Union Building (JUB) 306

Extended Office hours are available in the MT One Stop, located in the Student Union Building Monday through Thursdays 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
