Keynote Speaker Lisa Ling Journalist, Social Activist, and Author Lisa Ling is executive producer and host of This is Life with Lisa Ling on CNN and co-founder of SecretSocietyofWomen.com. She is former co-host of ABC’s The View (1999-2002), the first female host of National Geographic’s Explorer, host of Our America with Lisa Ling on OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, and special correspondent for CNN, ABC News’ Nightline, and The Oprah Winfrey Show. Ling is also a contributing editor for USA Today’s USA Weekend magazine. She is the co-author of Mother, Daughter, Sister, Bride: Rituals of Womanhood and Somewhere Inside: One Sister’s Captivity in North Korea and the Other’s Fight to Bring Her Home, which she wrote with her sister, Laura Ling.
