to MTSU Community and University Partnerships
Mission:
The mission of partnerships at MTSU is to encourage the
development of important bonds and connections that lead to a sharing
of human, spatial, financial and knowledge resources.
Vision:
By 2012 MTSU will be a recognized leader among comprehensive
public universities that emphasize undergraduate education while
also having a significant commitment to graduate and research programs
and to partnership-centered outreach programs.
Values:
Partnerships facilitate the development of a regional sense of community;
they promote communication and understanding between the worlds
of work and service; and they integrate the workplace with the world
of higher education.
Definition:
Partnership is defined as a mutually beneficial relationship
between two or more institutions including: Businesses, Industries,
Universities, School systems, Service organizations, and Non-profit
organizations…that allow goals to be accomplished that are
beyond the reach of any one party acting alone.
Partnerships encourage
development of important bonds and connections that lead to a sharing
of human, spatial, financial, and knowledge resources.

developing alliances with business, industry, the school systems,
and the city and county.”
