Form Line Shape Space

Artists who engage in a Drawing based art practice are invited to submit work to this juried national exhibition to be held in Todd Art Gallery by the Department of Art and Design at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU).  

This exhibition will emphasize the continuing relevance of Drawing and its application to other disciplines. Artwork exploring innovative methods and experimental materials are welcomed.

Form, Line, Shape, Space will exhibit March 12 – April 1, 2020.  

 

CRITERIA:

Artists may submit two-dimensional or three-dimensional works, video, and/or installations.

Artists must be at least 18 years of age.

Each submission/application is limited to three entries/pieces.

All artwork entries must have been completed in the last two years.  

Entries cannot have been shown previously at MTSU’s Todd Art Gallery. 

 

SUBMISSION DEADLINE:

Thursday, February 27, 2020, 11:59 p.m.

Notifications by Tuesday, March 3, 2020

Artwork must arrive (Shipped or Dropped off) at Todd Art Gallery no later than Thursday, March 9, 2020. No exceptions!

 

RETURN SHIPPING: 

MTSU Todd Art Gallery pays return shipping and insurance on all accepted work. Shipping return is done through United Parcel Service (UPS), or upon request by United States Postal Service (USPS).

SUBMISSION FEE:

10.00 USD, per three pieces total. To have more than 3 artworks considered complete a second application for an additional $10 for up to an additional three artworks. Total submission number is not restricted, but each submission is limited to 3 artworks.

 

PARTICIPATION:

All accepted artworks will additionally be featured online at www.mtsu.edu/art/ and published in a Form, Line, Shape, Space 2020 Catalog available during the exhibit. The catalog will also be included with each artwork's return shipping.
