Merchant Services are provided by the Financial Compliance section of the Busines Office. Any college or department intending to accept credit cards on behalf of Middle Tennessee State University must first receive approval from the Business Office. This request should be made by the business or program manager of the associated college or deparement. Complete a Merchant Application and return to the Business Office.   

The Financial Compliance office works with each university merchant to develop a process to adhere to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS). The PCI DSS Program is a mandated set of security standards that were created by the major credit card companies to offer merchants and service providers a complete, unified approach to safeguarding cardholder data for all credit card brands.
