Athletics Integrity and Student-Athlete Conflict Resolution

Coaches, administrators, staff, and volunteers of the University Athletics Department (collectively “Athletics Staff”) are covered by the laws, regulations, policies, and procedures applicable to other members of the University community. Athletics Staff, as well as the University, are additionally subject to the requirements of the National Collegiate Athletic Association ("NCAA"), Conference USA ("C-USA"), and/or other applicable athletics conferences.

To protect student-athletes and ensure the integrity of the University's athletics programs, Policy 90 entitled Athletics Integrity and Conduct of Athletics Staff was instituted and approved by the MTSU Board of Trustees. Policy 90 additionally provides student-athletes with a separate, objective, conflict resolution process in circumstances in which the student-athlete does not feel that consulting with Athletics Staff will be effective. Specifically, student-athletes may consult the Office of Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management to address athletics grievances.  Processes for addressing student-athlete issues and grievances are included in the approved MTSU Student-Athlete Conflict Resolution Process

The following are additional resources for MTSU student-athletes regarding the Conflict Resolution Process through the Office of Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management:
