Campus Recreation strives to support the MTSU Community by providing holistic recreational opportunities and fostering the development and education of all students.

We make fun accessible to everyone and encourage individuals to get out of routine settings. We promote connection and enjoyment through collective participation.

Campus Recreation is dedicated to giving students the opportunities and resources to advance themselves through mentorships, learning, and experiences. We equip students with skills to overcome challenges and embrace change.

Campus Recreation will conduct itself in a manner that strives to foster honesty, honor, and truthfulness. Through building positive relationships, maintaining commitments, and being transparent in operations, we aspire to create an inclusive environment for all patrons.

Exercise is Medicine® on Campus Member

MTSU is a Gold Level EIM® Institution!

Exercise is Medicine® on Campus (EIM-OC) is a program calling upon universities and colleges to engage in the promotion of physical activity as a vital sign of health.  EIM-OC encourages faculty, staff and students to work together toward improving the health and well-being of the campus community by:

  • Making movement a part of the daily campus culture
  • Assessing physical activity at every student health visit
  • Providing students the tools necessary to strengthen healthy physical activity habits that can last a lifetime
  • Connecting university health care providers with university health fitness specialists to provide a referral system for exercise prescription. 
  • Visit the True Blue Wellness Crew to learn more
