Thank you for your interest in the many summer camps, seminars, and learning experiences offered by Middle Tennessee State University. For over five decades, MTSU has provided summer activities for young children, teens, and adults alike.

The 2024 summer experiences are listed below. Listings include the camp organizers and contact info, a short description of each experience, dates, costs, and registration deadlines. Please contact the camp organizer if you have questions or wish to register.

Our Learn-to-Swim program is unique compared to other learn to swim programs. The program is designed for children over 6 months up to adults. Students progress through the levels at their own pace, mastering the skills in one level before advancing to the next.

The Nick McDevitt Basketball Camp is a fun environment for campers of all ages! Each player will learn the fundamentals of the game along with specialized instruction in shooting, defense, ball-handling, and rebounding. Each camper will take the skills that he has learned and apply them in fun, competitive areas such as one-on-one games, knockout competitions, hot shot, and free throw contests.

Attendees will participate in a variety of educational and recreational activities on the MTSU campus. Program staff and volunteers will provide supervision and support for participants as they attend classes, workshops, games and activities led by MTSU faculty and students. Each day will also include activities at University’s Rec Center. Participants will dine each day in the Student Union or other campus dining facilities. The objective of NSTI is to provide rising high school students with awareness of transportation careers, enhance STEM skills and encourage students to consider a transportation-related major. Scholars Academy Freshman Summer Institute

Students must participate for the duration of the Institute, attend all Institute events, as well as register for the Scholars Academy sections of UNIV 1010 for the Fall 2023 semester.  Study skills workshops, team-building exercises, leadership training, the summer reading program, and service-learning projects are integral aspects of the Scholars Academy. The Junior Raiders Camp is designed for boys and girls and will serve to enhance each player’s technical ability and tactical awareness in small-sided games. This camp will cover most soccer techniques including 1v1 to 5v5 attacking and defensive principles. Campers will be able to showcase their new skills in a series of fun and challenging games! The Girls High School Team Camp consists of a customized, age specific, training program for U13 to U18 teams and individual players. All teams are assigned a staff coach for the duration of the camp and compete in small sided and full sided games in addition to team training. Options for attending this camp are Half Day (9am-12pm), Full Day (9am-4pm), or overnight. This camp will be very beneficial to all youth players and teams getting ready for the upcoming fall season. Individuals are welcomed at this camp as well.

Players who are attending camp without a team should Register Under the RSA House Team, coached by Coach Rhoden.
