Activities. Each member of the diverse cohort will spend nine weeks pursuing state-of-the-art research projects in inorganic, organic, organometallic, mechanistic biochemistry, or ceramics with a chosen faculty mentor, and interact with seven other faculty who specialize in working with undergraduate students through workshops, field trips, and social events. Participants will learn about X-ray crystallography and other analytical methods to characterize materials. They will build a resume and soft skills during a series of workshops.

Who Should Apply?   We are seeking enthusiastic undergraduate students who are US citizens or permanent residents. Those in underrepresented minority groups and/or from schools that do not provide an opportunity for research are especially encouraged to apply.

Location:  MTSU is in Murfreesboro, just 35 miles south of Nashville and centrally located with access to many fun places to visit and learn from.
