Convocation marks the official opening of the academic year, and welcomes all new students to MTSU!  This event is an MTSU tradition and a must-attend for the entering Class of 2030. Convocation is hosted by President McPhee. New students will take the True Blue Pledge, led by Student Government Association President Kennedy Garrett.

Our keynote speaker will be Edward J. Larson, author of Declaring Independence Why 1776 Matters.

The Convocation Ceremony, as well as Mr. Welch’s presentation, can be viewed at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, on True Blue TV and MTSU’s Facebook channel.
