Professor Apigian specializes in data science and specifically predictive analytics. Through his work in the Data Science Institute, he works with industry, government and non-profit organizations to understand how to use data to make good decisions and most important to use data for good.

Dr. Apigian received his PhD. from The University of Toledo and since then has been a Professor at MTSU. He is currently the Co-Director of the Data Science Institute and is mainly teaching Data Mining and Predictive Analytics. Prior to coming to MTSU, Dr. Apigian was the Vice President of a manufacturing firm in Detroit, MI in the auto industry.
