Southern Adventist University’s School of Journalism and Communication partnered with the Free Speech Center at a “Social Justice and Five Freedoms Town Hall” on Sept. 23, 2020.
The Zoom-based event explored the First Amendment in 2020 and featured insights from Ken Paulson, director of the Free Speech Center at Middle Tennessee State University and former editor-in-chief of USA Today, Carmela Monk Crawford, a lawyer and editor of Message Magazine, Southern Adventist University Professor Victoria Joiner, and Justin Khoe, podcast host and YouTube content creator.
The discussion was preceded by the dedication of a plaque bearing the 45 words of the First Amendment.
