In two rulings in late March, the New Jersey Supreme Court unanimously backed transparency in cases involving police misconduct.

 

In both decisions the state high court ordered the release of records to the public. The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press filed friend-of-the-court briefs in both cases,
