Without the sacrifices of the men and women in the United States armed forces, our nation's First Amendment freedoms to worship, speak, write, assemble peaceably and petition the government for change would be unprotected.
On this Memorial Day, 2022, the Free Speech Center honors all those who served, and especially all those who died, from the Revolutionary War to the war in Afghanistan. We remember also the wounded, many of whom still suffer today.
May our servicemembers stay safe wherever they are around the world, and, for all they do, know a nation's gratitude.
