The Free Speech Center joins the world of music and music lovers in mourning the death Oct. 4 of the great country star Loretta Lynn.
We celebrate the legendary Lynn’s prolific talent: 50 albums, 51 top-10 country hits, three Grammy awards.
Most of all, as a prime purpose of music is to express human feelings and truths, we salute her fearless outspokenness.
With gratitude we note that Loretta Lynn signed on as a supporter of the Free Speech Center’s 1 for All campaign. It’s a national nonpartisan and nonprofit educational effort to build understanding and respect for the five freedoms of the First Amendment.
As she said in her quote for the 1 for All national newspaper ad below, “I always say — and sing — exactly what I mean.”
