Organizational Student Conduct Chart

Organizations included are those who have active disciplinary sanctions and/or disciplinary sanctions that have expired within the last two years. This information is updated only as needed and is reviewed annually.

2018-2019 Academic Year

Alpha Phi Alpha – December 2018

Charges:

  • Disorderly Conduct
  • Obstruction/Interference with Institutional Activities/Facilities
  • Failure to Cooperate with Institutional Officials
  • Providing False Information

Sanctions:

  • Suspension until the end of fall 2021 semester (can petition for suspension term to be shortened beginning with the spring 2020 semester)
  • Conditional probation once the chapter returns
  • No contact with expelled or inactive Kappa Xi chapter members
  • Series of university administration meeting requirements.

Due to the chapter’s disregard for a national moratorium and failure to abide by National Alpha Phi Alpha policies, the chapter was suspended by their national fraternity until 2021.


Sigma Chi – July 2018

Charges:

  • Alcoholic Beverages (three charges in the last academic year)

Sanctions:

  • Series of educational requirements
  • Social Warning through December 31, 2018
  • Public Notification

2017-2018 Academic Year

Kappa Sigma – November 2017

Charges:

  • Failure to cooperate with institutional officials
  • Hazing

Sanctions:

  • Series of educational requirements.

2016-2017 Academic Year

Phi Delta Theta – August 2016

Charges:

  • Threatening or disruptive conduct
  • Disorderly Conduct
  • Hazing
  • Alcoholic Beverages
  • Drugs
  • Failure to cooperate with institutional officials
  • Aiding and abetting the Commission of Offenses
  • Unacceptable conduct in disciplinary proceedings

Sanctions:

  • Disciplinary Probation through 8/31/2017
  • Series of educational requirements.

2015-2016 Academic Year

Sigma Nu – November 2015

Charges:

  • Threatening or disruptive conduct
  • Hazing
  • Disorderly conduct
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Failure to cooperate with institutional officials
  • Violation of imposed disciplinary sanctions
  • Drugs
  • Unauthorized surveillance
  • Smoking Violations
  • Aiding and abetting the Commission of Offences
  • Unacceptable conduct in disciplinary proceedings

Sanctions:

  • Suspension until the spring 2019 semester
  • Disciplinary probation once the chapter returns
  • Series of educational requirements.

Sigma Nu Fraternity’s national board of directors also suspended the chapter’s charter until the spring of 2019.


2014-2015 Academic Year

Pi Kappa Phi - March 2015

Charges:

  • Conduct dangerous to others
  • Hazing
  • Alcoholic beverages

Sanctions:

  • Suspension through summer 2018
  • Disciplinary probation once the chapter returns
  • Series of educational requirements

After their own investigation Pi Kappa Phi National council’s removed the chapter’s charter.
