Request a Time Limit Extension for Graduation

From the Graduate Catalog, subsection "Time Limits" under Academic Regulations: Students have six (6) years from the initial semester of matriculation to complete the requirements for a master’s or specialist’s degree. There is a ten-year time limit from initial matriculation to complete all requirements for the doctoral degree. Exceptions to these time limitations, for good cause, will be considered by the dean of the College of Graduate Studies when submitted in writing with a proposed timeline for completion and the recommendation of the advisor and the graduate program director.  These extensions are rarely granted.

This form is to be submitted by the student's graduate program director.
