Bridging the Gap

IF THEN
You are a high school senior graduating in 2021: Complete your MTSU application for admission (with ACT/SAT scores and 6th semester transcripts) and submit by December 1 to be considered for scholarships.
You can’t complete an ACT/SAT test: Contact your recruiter, who will direct you to our MTSU personal statement.  Complete the statement and we will provide a holistic review for admission in lieu of your ACT/SAT score.
You were accepted for Fall 2020 and were awarded an MTSU guaranteed academic scholarship but you took a gap year and didn’t attend college anywhere else: MTSU will reinstate the offered scholarship so that you can begin to attend MTSU in either Spring 2021 or Fall 2021.  Contact your recruiter to inform us that you intend to enroll, and fill out  a new application for admission by December 1.  If you previously missed the December 1, 2019 scholarship deadline, meeting the upcoming December 1, 2020 deadline may qualify you for a scholarship upgrade.  Ask your recruiter today.
You were accepted for Fall 2020 and were awarded an MTSU guaranteed academic scholarship but you chose to attend another college in the Fall 2020 semester:

MTSU will reinstate the offered scholarship so that you can transfer and begin to attend MTSU in either Spring 2021 or Fall 2021.  Contact  your transfer recruiter to inform us that you intend to transfer to MTSU, and fill out a transfer application by December 1.   If you previously missed the December 1, 2019 scholarship deadline, meeting the upcoming December 1, 2020 deadline may qualify you for a scholarship upgrade.  Ask your recruiter today.

You are a current student who has an MTSU guaranteed academic scholarship and are thinking of not attending in Spring 2021, but plan to return for Fall 2021: Before making your decision, please contact your academic advisor and the MT One Stop to discuss your plans.  Taking a semester off will mean that your MTSU scholarship (and TELS Lottery Scholarship, if applicable) will be discontinued.  You will need to file an appeal when you return to MTSU in order to have your MTSU  scholarships reinstated.  Email MTOneStop@mtsu.edu for assistance.
You are a current MTSU student thinking of completely withdrawing from MTSU now, in mid-semester:

Before making your decision, please contact MTOneStop@mtsu.edu to talk about alternatives and the financial impact of withdrawing from classes.  If you are a military-connected student, please contact the Daniels Center.
