Robert F. Hopper

Mr. Hopper, a 53-year veteran of the life insurance business, began his career in 1949 with Chattanooga's former Volunteer State Life Insurance Company after graduation from the University of Chattanooga. He founded Profit Plans in 1963 and today serves as the firm's chairman and partner. Both Hopper and his firm have been consistent leading producers with the insurance companies they represent. He is a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table and has won the industry's National Quality Award 34 times in his career. Both honors recognize exceptional insurance sales production results. He earned the industry sanctioned Chartered Life Underwriter professional designation in 1960 and the Chartered Financial Consultant professional designation in 1982.
Mr. Hopper has served the life insurance industry in numerous leadership capacities. He has served as president of both the local and statewide organizations of the National Association of Life Underwriters - now called the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He is also a past president of the Estate Planning Council of Chattanooga and the Chattanooga Chapter of Chartered Life Underwriters. He is a founder and current member of the National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies and the Risk Appraisal Forum.
In addition to his insurance industry responsibilities, Mr. Hopper is involved with numerous civic and community service activities. He is s deacon and past Chairman of Deacons at First Presbyterian Church. He is a former president of the Chattanooga Better Business Bureau, Goodwill Industries, the University of Chattanooga Alumni Association and the Kiwanis Club of Chattanooga.
