Reeves, John W., Jr.

John W. Reeves, Jr. piloted a B-24 over Europe as part of the 484th Bomber Group, Heavy, 824th Bomber Squadron. During a massive raid over Hungary on August 22, 1944, Reeves's bomber was hit by enemy flak, fell out of formation, and crashed. The local Murfreesboro VFW 4575 is partially named in his honor.

John W Reeves Jr is buried or memorialized at Plot E Row 35 Grave 28, Lorraine American Cemetery, St. Avold, France. This is an American Battle Monuments Commission location.
