Mr. Miller was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County, attending Crichlow Elementary School and Central High School. Mr. Miller served in the Navy during World War II before graduating from Middle Tennessee Teacher’s College in 1950. While there he lettered in football for four years and was an avid, lifelong supporter of the Blue Raider Athletic Association. Married in 1951, Mr. and Mrs. Miller shared a loving union of nearly fifty-nine years. Mr. Miller had a long career in the construction industry, including Past President and Executive Director of the Tennessee Road Builders Association from 1982 until his retirement in 1997
