Greetings friends of the Stones River Chamber Players!
The Stones River Chamber Players are back with another exciting series of live concerts
in person at the Hinton Music Hall on the MTSU campus.
The theme of this season is “Music in Motion” with three exciting and diverse programs
for you to enjoy:
October 18, 2021 at 8PM – “Momentum”
The season opener presents a mix of works by familiar composers like Astor Piazzolla and Franz Liszt. offers new gems by Adriana Mañas, Jonas Ervolder Bové, Brian Wilson and MTSU composer Paul Osterfield!
February 21, 2022 at 8PM – “Turbulence"
Clara Schumann: Three Romances for violin and piano, Op. 22
Darius Milhaud: Sonata for flute, oboe, clarinet, and piano, Op. 47
Francis Poulenc: Banalites
Paul Osterfield: The New Dawn Blooms from The Hope Effect Project with Duncan Dance South
March 28, 2022 at 8PM – “Journey”
Frigyes Hidas: Trio for horn, trombone, and tuba
Anton Arensky: Suite No. 1, Op. 15 for two pianos
Fred Rzewski: Three Pieces for soprano saxophone, trombone, piano.
Randall Thompson: Trio for oboe, clarinet and viola
Douglas Bristol: Five Miniatures for trombone, tenor saxophone, and piano
All concerts will be held in the T. Earl Hinton Music Hall in the Wright Music Building
on the MTSU campus
