ZTC Data Dashboard
Data Handling & History
An OER course attribute was created in Banner in the Spring 2022 semester, which allowed for data collection and analysis of course sections using open educational resources. In the Summer of 2024, we changed the name of the course attribute to Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC). A ZTC course does not require the student to purchase any type of course materials to fulfill the course and can include a combination of OER, library-licensed materials, free online resources, instructor-created materials, or has no course materials required for the course. Find detailed guidelines here: https://library.mtsu.edu/oer/ztc
Cost savings are determined by multiplying the average cost of a textbook ($100) by seats filled.
