WALK UP WEDNESDAY'S ARE BACK, WITH A LIMIT OF 25 PEOPLE (INCLUDING CHILDREN).

APPOINTMENTS CAN BE MADE, MONDAY - FRIDAY 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. - Please contact our scheduling clerk at the passport office 615-494-8829 - When we do have Walk Up Wednesday you do not need an appointment, however we are only accepting 25 people (including children).  You may have to wait in our lobby if folks are waiting.  Our last walk-up appointment will be at 2 pm

**PLEASE REMEMBER WHEN BOOKING YOUR APPOINTMENT, THAT YOU MUST ACCURATELY LIST THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE IN YOUR PARTY.  WE TYPICALLY ACCOUNT FOR 15 MINUTES PER PERSON.  DO NOT SAY YOU HAVE 2 PEOPLE IN YOUR PARTY, AND SHOW UP WITH 3, THIS WILL CAUSE THE APPOINTMENT AFTER YOU TO BE DELAYED.  WE REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP WITH THIS.**

YOU MUST HAVE YOUR APPLICATION FILLED OUT PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT, OTHERWISE WE WILL HAVE TO RE-SCHEDULE.  While waiting for your appointment time, you may sit on the chairs provided outside the office. Please be respectful of our testing center across the hall, and keep the noise volume low.

It may take up to 4 weeks, from the day your application reaches the passport facility.  During these 4 weeks, the application is delivered to a mail facility, the payment processed, and the application is scanned and sent to Passport Services for processing.  Customers who check their status online at travel.state.gov prior to 4 weeks from the date you applied, may receive a response of "Not Found".  This means that the application is still in transit to one of our passport agencies and centers.

We provide money orders (via payment by debit card), if you don't have a personal check for payment to U.S. Department of State.

  • Routine Service: is up to 8 - 11 weeks, door-to-door, from date of application. Cost for application is now $130
  • Expedited Service: up to 5 - 7 weeks, door-to-door, from date of application.  If customers want to receive their passports in less time then 7-10 weeks, it is advised to get the Expedited service.  Passport application fee is now $130, Expedited service costs an additional $60 and should be included with the passport fees at the time of application.  If you plan to expedite your passport application due to travel plans, it is recommended that you send your application using USPS Priority Mail Express for processing and/or for the return of your new passport book.  The cost of the 1-2 day delivery fee to have your passport book sent to you, has increased to $19.53.

Passport Agencies are only serving customers in person who have a life or death emergency and are traveling within 3 business days.

Customers can check the status of their applications online at travel.state.gov or by calling NPIC at 1-877-487-2778.
