Carr, delegation honor MTSU with resolution

On April 5, Rep. Joe Carr arranged for MTSU to be honored by the Tennessee General Assembly with a special resolution commemorating our Centennial of Service to the state and region. It was a wonderful, inspiring day at the State Capitol.

After Representative Carr read the resolution in the House chambers, and the kind remarks also offered by Sen. Jim Tracy, it was wonderful to hear the applause and congratulations from so many lawmakers from all corners of our magnificent state.

We are honored that Representative Carr, on behalf of our magnificent Rutherford delegation and other co-sponsors, put forward this resolution in celebration of MTSU’s centennial. I bragged in my remarks that I think our Rutherford Delegation is the very best; their hard work and persistence has helped our University grow and prosper.

We have marked our Centennial with many different observances and events, but this event occupies a very special place among our commemorations.
