As a student in Jones College’s Flex M.B.A. program, we want to help you to succeed in your graduate education even if you’re working full time. Students have the flexibility to take courses in three different modalities:

Flex M.B.A. Program Curriculum
Meeting the rigorous standards for accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the Jones College of Business provides a deep grounding in principles of accounting, business analytics, management, finance, and much more. But our forward-looking curriculum also emphasizes individualized professional development, experiential learning, and the latest technologies.
Students will create a professional portfolio that shows how they’ve applied state-of-the-art tools and techniques to solve business problems. By the time they graduate, successful M.B.A. students at Middle Tennessee State University learn to assess the business environment responsibly.

We prioritize quality education over stuffing your schedule with as many courses as possible. That’s why our Flex M.B.A. requires only 11 courses without a concentration or 12 courses with a concentration*.
*The Music Business, Strategic Marketing, and Human Resource Management concentrations require an additional course, for a total of 13 courses.

Can I take the entire M.B.A. program online?
Yes, you can complete all requirements for the M.B.A. online, with no need to visit campus. You can also earn an M.B.A. with a Healthcare Management, Strategic Marketing Analytics, Legal and Ethical Governance, Risk Management, Human Resource Management, Data Analytics, IT Project Management, or Music Business concentration 100% online. Do I need to have an undergraduate business degree?
No, you may have a bachelor’s degree in any subject from a regionally accredited university or college. Please see our admission requirements page for more details, including information on GPA and test scores.
Students who do not hold an undergraduate business degree must complete three preparatory modules (or approved equivalents). Students may take these through MTSU M.B.A. online Coursera courses after being admitted to the Flex M.B.A. or before the term starts. Students have until the end of the second semester to complete the modules.

Can I transfer credit from other schools?
You may transfer up to 6 credit hours from another school accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) into MTSU’s online M.B.A. program. You cannot transfer credit for the capstone course. For more information about fulfilling the requirements for your degree, see the Curriculum page.
