Tennessee Miller Coliseum

TMC History

The Tennessee Miller Coliseum held its grand opening on March 18, 2003. Designed by Hart Freeland Roberts, Inc. of Brentwood, the facility had been in the works for almost a decade.

The $21 million, 222,000-square-foot facility was named for the late John C. “Tennessee” Miller at the request of his wife, the late Mary Elizabeth Miller, who gave MTSU a gift that has grown to more than $25 million.

The Tennessee Miller Coliseum sits on 154 acres located at 304B West Thompson Lane in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The location was chosen for its ideal engineering and architectural advantages, including land configuration.

The coliseum features a 150-by-300-foot floor, seating for 4,600 people, a covered warm-up area, 500 10-by-10 animal stalls,117 camper hookups, 400 paved parking places, plus a modern sound system.  Take a look at the photo album and amenities for more information.
