Tennessee Press Association Foundation
Victor Bob Parkins is the Editor and Publisher of the Mirror-Exchange newspaper in Milan, Tennessee. Parkins is a lifelong resident of Milan and a second genertion newpaperman. His late father, Bob Parkins, founded the newspaper in 1965, and also held the position of President of the Tennessee Press Association Foundatin.
Parkins is very involved in his community, having served as President of the Milan Chamber of Commerce, the Milan girls softball league, Milan Lions Club, and the Milan Alumni Association. He was named Milan Man of the Year in 2012.
After the passing of his father in 2007, Parkins and his sister, Scarlet, purchased the Mirror-Exchange and later acquired the Tri-City Reporter, The Trenton Gazette, and the Humboldt Chronicle.
Parkins is a 1991 graduate of the University of Tennessee where he earned a degree
in Business Management. He has also served as president of the Tennessee Press Association
and the Tennessee Press Service.
