Research Information

I consider myself a zoologist (herpetologist) interested in behavioral and physiological ecology. One of my research goals is to use information on the temperature of animals to answer questions regarding their behavior, ecology, and physiology.  In particular, I am interested in how body temperature influences the behavior, ecology, and embryonic development of ectotherms, particularly reptiles and spiders.  Most projects have a heavy field component and utilizes techniques such as animal trapping, radio telemetry, and biophysical modelling.

If you are interested in getting some research experience with reptiles or spiders, please contact me.  We can consider current or new projects.  I would consider thermal projects on a variety of organisms.

For those interested in graduate study, please contact be before and applying.
