Dr. Tom Brinthaupt
Director of Faculty Development
Dr. Brinthaupt is a professor in the Department of Psychology. He began serving as LT&ITC Director of Faculty Development in the Fall of 2010. Dr. Brinthaupt received his Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh in 1989 and has taught at MTSU since 1990. He has extensive interest and experience in the scholarship of teaching and learning. This includes serving as an Instructional Technology Division Faculty Intern (2005-2006), an LT&ITC Faculty Fellow (2007-2008), a Online Faculty Mentor with the University College (since 2007), and the facilitator for the eLearning Pedagogy Faculty Learning Community. He has been the recipient of numerous awards for teaching, research, and service at MTSU, including the Distinguished Educator Award in Distance Learning (2005), the Outstanding Achievement in Instructional Technology Award (2007 & 2014), the Excellence in Teaching Award from the MTSU chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success (2009), the MTSU Distinguished Research Award (2020), the John T. Bragg, Sr. Distinguished Service Award (2006), the College of Education and Behavioral Science University Community Award (2007), and the MTSU Foundation's Career Achievement Award (2022).

Dr. Lando Carter
Interim Director of Teaching Excellence
Dr. Carter is an associate professor in the College of Education. He began serving as LT&ITC Interim Director of Teaching Excellence in the Fall of 2022. Dr. Carter received his Ed.D. from MTSU in 2016 and has taught here since 2015. He has extensive interest and experience in fostering teacher creativity in the classroom. This includes co-authoring a book (Teaching Signature Thinking: Strategies for Unleashing Creativity in the Classroom) with Dr. Kevin Krahenbuhl.

Dr. Scott Haupt
Instructional Design Specialist
Dr. Haupt joined the LT&ITC in May 2015. He is well versed in both the technical and pedagogical sides of education. He has become an invaluable member of the Center's team. He is an Open Educational Resource (OER) advocate and supporter. To this end, he serves as an administrator for the university's Pressbooks and H5P accounts and is the main point of contact for MTSU's Tennessee OER Hub through the Tennessee Higher Education Commission.

Angie Parrish
Administrative Coordinator
Angie joined the LT&ITC in March 2023 and is a half-time appointee. She works in an identical role for the True Blue Core. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to both positions.

John Hagan
Graduate Assistant
John devotes 20 hours to the Center every week. The GA duties include maintaining the website, developing online resources, and setting up workshops and events.
