Volunteer and Get Involved!

At the MTSU Small Farm, we believe in the power of community and hands-on experiences. That's why we're thrilled to introduce our Volunteer Fridays—a special day each week dedicated to those who want to dive deeper into the world of sustainable farming.

Volunteer Fridays: More Than Just Farming

Every Friday, our gates swing open to welcome volunteers from all walks of life. Whether you're a seasoned farmer, a student in need of community service hours, or someone just looking to get their hands a little dirty, there's a place for you here. Through coordination with our farm manager, Chris Hall, we can provide multiple opportunities.

Farm Tours

Ever wondered how a sustainable farm operates? Get a tour of our farm, where you can get a behind-the-scenes look at our operations. From seed planting to harvest, you'll witness the cycle of life on a farm and understand the dedication and passion that goes into every leaf and fruit.

Community Service Hours for Students

For students looking to complete their community service hours, our farm provides a unique opportunity. Not only do you get to contribute to a noble cause, but you also learn about agriculture, sustainability, and the importance of local produce. It's a win-win!

Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE) Lessons

Dive deeper into the agricultural world with our SAE lessons. Supervised and guided by our experienced farmers, these sessions offer hands-on lessons in various farming techniques, soil health, crop rotation, and more. Whether you're an agri-student or just curious, these lessons promise rich insights.

Donations: Support Our Mission

Your support means the world to us. If you believe in our mission and want to contribute, we graciously accept donations. You can make your contribution directly at the farm or during our sales events. Every donation, big or small, helps us further our goal of promoting sustainable agriculture and educating our community.

Join us in nurturing the land, learning together, and building a community around sustainable farming. We look forward to seeing you on the next Volunteer Friday!
