Participate in Homecoming
Campus Recreation is offering several activities in conjunction with Homecoming 2013: Under the Deep Blue Sea. Don't miss these opportunities to join in the fun and be connected with MTSU.
A 5k run/walk will be held Sunday, Sept. 29, on the MTSU Campus and a golf tournament will be held later that day at Champions Run Golf Course.
Both events are available to participants of any level. The race begins at 8 a.m., and features a timed course on campus. Race day registration opens at 6:30 a.m. at the MTSU Student Health, Wellness and Recreation Center, 1848 Blue Raider Drive, and Murfreesboro.
Registration Sept. 15-28 is $25 and day-of is $30. Registration forms are available through the Campus Recreation web site at: www.mtsu.edu/camprec. Campus Recreation accepts cash, checks, and all major credit cards. You can also pay online on Active.com and keyword is "MTSU." Golf tournament registration is also available through the web site at mtsu.edu/camprec. Golf tournament activities begin at 11 a.m. with a pre-tournament lunch at Champions Run Golf Course. Tee-off is at $100. Registration fees are: $50 for an individual golfer, $200 for a student/faculty team and $250 for a community team.
Participants and spectators are encouraged to bring gently used shoes for Soles4Souls. A donation bin will be available in the foyer of the Student Health and Wellness Center and at the golf course for members of the campus community who have gently used shoes that you would like to contribute.
Proceeds from both events benefit the Campus Recreation student scholarship fund.
