Journalism, Sports Media Concentration, B.S.
The Sports Media concentration in the Bachelor of Science in Journalism program is offered through the School of Journalism and Strategic Media in the College of Media and Entertainment at MTSU.
The Sports Media concentration offers students from all majors an opportunity to gain additional exposure to the sports industry and its impact on society. This emphasis can be beneficial for students who wish to pursue sports careers in print/online media, public relations, promotions, marketing communications, and broadcast journalism. You don't have to be a pro athlete to appreciate the thrill of the game. Sports Media connects your passion with a multitude of exciting career options. Many of our students have found employment in radio play-by-play, TV sports, newspaper and online sports reporting, sports public relations, and sports marketing. Many others work in industries where at least part of the job is involved in some way in the sports industry.
