TEMPE, Ariz. – Middle Tennessee women's tennis, along with Austin Peay, are the recipients of the 2021-22 ITA Ohio Valley Community Service Award, announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced Monday afternoon.

The Blue Raiders women's tennis program spent over 301 hours making an impact in the Middle Tennessee community through their servant leadership initiative, spearheaded by head coach Tayo Bailey-Duvall.

"We are grateful and honored to be co-recipients of the Ohio Valley Regional Community Service Award. We feel that giving back to our community is very important, as it keeps us active in our community while showing that we support them as much as they support us," said Bailey-Duvall. "We are looking forward to our future projects, as I continue to teach and show my girls the importance of servant leadership."

Middle Tennessee women's tennis volunteered at several events in and off campus, ranging from free tennis clinics for the youth, serving at Read Across America Day, participating in the Relay for Life, holiday parades, and promoting blood drives.
